Dr. Jody Graves maintains a diverse and active performing career, and is recognized nationally as a distinguished artist and teacher of piano. Her recital engagements as a soloist and collaborative pianist take her across the U.S. and abroad. In 2006 she toured the Persian Gulf serving the U.S. State Department as a Cultural Ambassador. She will return to the Middle East in 2016 with the Sapphire Trio, where she will once again perform concerts and give masters classes and presentations.
Dr. Graves has an active schedule each year as a workshop presenter, and has been engaged by the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, and State and National MTA conferences. She has served as judge for the Seattle International Piano Festival and the International Piano Competition at the Eastman School of Music. She has authored articles for the American Music Teacher and Clavier magazines.
Dr Graves’ fourth recording project, Ananda, Notes from the Heart was released in May, 2015, and featured music of Brahms, Debussy, Liszt and others. She is currently Associate Professor of Piano at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington.
